Consolidation  >>

The term “consolidation” is frequently maligned, conjuring up visions of mountains of unrecorded letters, magazines & brochures, lying around for weeks on end, before being unceremoniously stuffed into cages & bags & passed on to the devices of a bunch of rogue delivery agents, to deliver if or when it suits them.

In reality, nothing could be further from the truth.

Consolidation involves the daily collection of clients mail, which is weighed, counted & itemised by country, before being recorded on a mail analysis sheet, for the required level of service, for each job, for each client.

Towards the end of each day, mail received that day is gathered together by destination country, weighed, counted & stamped, following which details are entered on to formal postal dockets before being passed on (in designated mailbags) to the reputable Postal Authority, for onward delivery under the same terms & conditions as any other mailed item.

Consolidation is of particular benefit when handling clients “daily post,” or smaller mailing runs which -in themselves- would be insufficient to be placed on an individual mailing docket and in most cases, this preparation not only provides a significant saving for the client, but allows the mailed items to be routed through a faster channel than might otherwise be the case.

All mail handled by Mail Options is passed to the officially recognised National Postal Authorities or, in a small percentage of cases where it is to clients benefit, to a selection of private mail carriers, each of which has a proven track record over a number of years.
